Adult Summer Camp! Unusual Vases with Ros
Overview
Monday-Friday 1:30-4:30pm, 8/4-8/8 & Sunday 8/24, 1:30-4:30pm
Ages 16 and up are welcome
Cost: $250 + $30 materials (all materials are included)
Beginners and returners welcome!

Immerse yourself in the community clay studio with our first ever Adult Summer Camp. We'll spend a week together creating beautiful vases using our own handmade molds and stiff slabs. This lends itself to a more "sculptural" approach, where we start with a basic shape, and then carve and refine it into a shape we love. This is a different approach to slab-building than the usual soft-slab one we have taught in past classes, and will add some really fun skills to your repertoire, for those who have taken classes in the past. However, this class will be taught in a way that welcomes both beginners as well as experienced clay folks.
We will spend our week creating vases, and then have a dedicated glazing day a couple of weeks later, to give our work time to dry.
Note: if you can't make the last session on Sunday 8/24, we will glaze your pieces for you.
Membership Add-On Option: For those who would like more time to practice, we are offering a $50 membership add-on that gives you access to the shared studio from 6am-10pm for two weeks, starting the first day of class. It also includes an additional half bag of clay, glazing, and firing (a $125 value in all). Additional clay and firings can be purchased as well.
