








Autumn Leaf Plate and Bowl with Julie
Overview
Sunday, 11/2, 1-3:30pm
Ages 9 and up are welcome! (Students age 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult)
Cost: $50 + $10 materials (all materials are included)
Beginners and returners welcome!
Handbuild a charming leaf plate and small bowl. No experience needed! Participants may bring a variety of their favorite flattened leaves to press into slabs of clay and use as shape patterns. Students will paint their creations different colors during class with food-safe underglaze. The studio will glaze and fire the pieces and they will be ready to pick up in several weeks. Finished pieces will be food safe, microwave-safe, and dishwasher safe!
This is a fun activity for ages 9-99. (Students ages 15 and younger need to be accompanied by an adult.)
About the Instructor
Julie Beard Foster is an educator first and foremost. Although she has taught in local public education systems and college settings with students of all abilities, her love of clay and American Sign Language surface as her primary dance partners. She has taught pottery classes and workshops at BRCC in the Workforce and Continuing Education Program. She enjoys wheel work and handbuilding functional items. Exploration of glaze combinations and surface textures are a passion.
Class Cancellations and Absence
Refunds minus a 10% or $20 processing fee (whichever is lower) are offered until 14 days before the start of class. After that, we do not offer refunds. We don’t offer refunds for missed classes, so please be sure you can attend all sessions of a class, or that you are okay with missing any that you’ll be away for.
