Let's Make Ornaments and Gift Tags with Julie Foster (Intergenerational Community Class, Age 6+! ASL available)

$55.00
Only 2 available

Overview

  • Sunday, 11/16, 12:30-3pm

  • ONE TICKET = TWO SEATS. Each ticket covers one adult and one child (age 6+), or two adults

  • Cost per adult/child or adult/adult pair $50 + $5 materials (all materials are included)

  • Beginners and returners welcome!

Join us for a cozy, creative clay class designed for all ages to enjoy together!

In this intergenerational workshop, you and a partner will work side by side to create up to five beautiful winter-themed ornaments or gift tags from clay. Think snowflakes, stars, trees, or anything else you dream up—each piece will be about 2" x 3" and perfect for gifting or decorating your home for the season.

This class is designed for pairs working together: parent and child, grandparent and grandchild, or even two friends. All ability levels are welcome! Instruction will be provided in English, and ASL interpretation is available upon request—just let us know at checkout.

Projects will be fired after the workshop and ready for pickup before Thanksgiving.

Note: This is a partner activity, and each child must be accompanied by an adult. Adult partners will help guide children as needed.

Bring someone you love, get your hands in clay, and kick off the season with creativity and connection!

About the Instructor

Julie Beard Foster is an educator first and foremost. Although she has taught in local public education systems and college settings with students of all abilities, her love of clay and American Sign Language surface as her primary dance partners. She has taught pottery classes and workshops at BRCC in the Workforce and Continuing Education Program. She enjoys wheel work and handbuilding functional items. Exploration of glaze combinations and surface textures are a passion.

Class Cancellations and Absence

Refunds minus a 10% or $20 processing fee (whichever is lower) are offered until 14 days before the start of class. After that, we do not offer refunds. We don’t offer refunds for missed classes, so please be sure you can attend all sessions of a class, or that you are okay with missing any that you’ll be away for. You can find out more on our studio policies page.
