It's a Wrap!: Introduction to Wire-Wrapped Jewelry with Stephani Tusing

  • Beginners and returners welcome!

Come learn the basics of making wire wrapped jewelry! In addition to learning basic wire wrapping techniques, you will walk away from this class with two unique pairs of earrings that you created yourself. (Wire Wrapped Drop Earrings and Wire Shape Earrings) You will also receive paper copies of these projects to further hone your new wire wrapping skills at home. Clip-on earrings will be available as well.

No previous wire wrapping experience needed for this class!

About the Instructor:

Stephani Tusing grew up in the Richmond area, showing a love for arts and crafts at an early age. After receiving a bachelors and masters degree in history from James Madison University, she has lived in Harrisonburg until the present. Since 2010, Stephani has been the jewelry designer and business owner of Sparkling Creations Jewelry. She has received several jewelry making lessons from professionals as well as being self taught from books and online videos on developing new techniques. Her focus is on wire wrapping, enjoying the intricate nature of this technique and the infinite possibilities that can come from a simple piece of wire. Some of her favorite materials include semi precious gemstones, crystals, cane glass and copper wire. She feels privileged to have this creative gift and enjoys teaching others the joy of wire wrapping, leading many jewelry making programs as a Youth Services librarian at the Massanutten Regional Library.

Class Cancellations and Absence

Refunds minus a 10% or $20 processing fee (whichever is lower) are offered until 14 days before the start of class. After that, we do not offer refunds. We don’t offer refunds for missed classes, so please be sure you can attend all sessions of a class, or that you are okay with missing any that you’ll be away for.
