  • Beginners and returners welcome!

Dive into a world of color and imagination! In this creative summer camp, young artists aged 13-18 will explore painting and mixed media, discovering their creative sides while having tons of fun. Each session encourages experimentation, self-expression, and the joy of making art in a playful and supportive environment.

Other information:

  • Full-day camps: We offer both morning and afternoon summer camps. Check them out here.

  • What to bring: Bring a water bottle and a snack. All other supplies will be provided. If the student is staying for both morning and afternoon camps, they will need to bring lunch.

  • When will work be available: Clay projects will be fired by FCCAC staff and we will let you know when they are ready to be picked up.

  • Age exceptions: We may accept children outside the stated age range based on ability or siblings who want to take a class together. Please contact laurapaige@friendlycityclay.com with details!

  • Sibling discount: We offer a 10% sibling discount for additional registrations (use coupon code SIBLING at checkout).

About the Instructor

Cyndi Gusler, MFA, is a professor of art at EMU where she shares her love of creating with her students. She began her teaching career as an elementary art teacher, and has been teaching art to children in summer programs for over 20 years. She especially enjoys working with small groups of students, allowing each child to explore the techniques and language of painting and drawing.

Class Cancellations and Absence

Refunds minus a 10% or $20 processing fee (whichever is lower) are offered until 14 days before the start of class. After that, we do not offer refunds. We don’t offer refunds for missed classes, so please be sure you can attend all sessions of a class, or that you are okay with missing any that you’ll be away for.
