














Brunch and Bowls on the Pottery Wheel with Julie
Overview
Sunday, 6/29, 1-3pm
Age 21 and up are welcome (we will have mimosas!)
Cost: $50 + $15 materials (all materials are included)
Beginners and returners welcome!
Ever wanted to try your hand at the potter’s wheel, but not quite ready to dive into a 6 week class? Our Brunch and Bowls class offers a fun environment to dabble in this new hobby, while enjoying brunch-time refreshments. Sign up yourself and a partner, a friend, or a sibling to experience it together, or just gift it to yourself! Students are able to keep one bowl of their choosing from the evening. Friendly City Clay staff will fire and glaze it and your piece will be ready to pick up several weeks later.
Free brunch refreshments and snacks will be provided. Please let us know when you check out if you have any allergies!
About the Instructor
Julie Beard Foster is an educator first and foremost. Although she has taught in local public education systems and college settings with students of all abilities, her love of clay and American Sign Language surface as her primary dance partners. She has taught pottery classes and workshops at BRCC in the Workforce and Continuing Education Program. She enjoys wheel work and handbuilding functional items. Exploration of glaze combinations and surface textures are a passion.
Class Cancellations and Absence
Refunds minus a $20 processing fee are offered until 14 days before the start of class. After that, we do not offer refunds. We don’t offer refunds for missed classes, so please be sure you can attend all sessions of a class, or that you are okay with missing any that you’ll be away for.
