  • 4 Thursdays 1:30-3:30, 2/5-2/26

  • Cost: $150 + $25 materials (all materials are included)

  • Beginners and returners welcome!

Unwind and get creative in this sip and sculpt ceramics workshop. Create your own tea bowl (and optional loose tea strainer) and learn how to mix herbal tea blends. This class will focus on simple hand building techniques to craft your tea bowl.  During the last day of class you will be able to mix and match different herbs to create a unique tea blend for you to enjoy in class and take home! Recipes will be shared, and advice for growing herbal teas in your home. Let’s blend the art of ceramics and tea! No experience needed.

About the Instructor

Tisha McMillan is an artist and educator who has been teaching art for the last 26 years and has recently moved back to Harrisonburg with her husband. Currently, she is excited to be teaching high school ceramics part time and spend the rest of her time creating art in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley.   Her personal artwork responds to a fascination with energy movement and a passion for nature and plants. She has studied herbalism and herbal medicine making with a keen interest in native plants and herbal teas.

Class Cancellations and Absence

Refunds minus a 10% or $20 processing fee (whichever is lower) are offered until 14 days before the start of class. After that, we do not offer refunds. We don’t offer refunds for missed classes, so please be sure you can attend all sessions of a class, or that you are okay with missing any that you’ll be away for.
